DESCRIPTION:This progressive design-build project includes the widening of Highways 43 and 69 from two lanes to four lanes as well as the addition of new bypasses along the 74-mile route from Thomasville to Moundville\, Alabama. Along with\n\nthe widening and bypass construction\, the project will involve construction of 24 new bridges\, drainage\, land clearing and grubbing\, relocation of utilities\, and the installation of over 100 box culverts. The project will be divided\n\ninto 13 segments\, each averaging 5.7 miles in length. This is a transformative project for the Alabama community and the state.
